From Mackay, follow the signs to Eungella

Pass through the small towns of Pleystowe, Marian, Mirani. Cross the Pioneer River at Mirani, and continue left to proceed to Gargett, Pinnacle, Finch Hatton, Eungella and Broken River.

From the Bruce Highway follow the signs to Marian, then turn right and follow the signs to Eungella.

To go to Dows Creek for the Bush Carnival, take the right fork in the road just over the Pioneer River at Mirani. at the Mt Ossa turnoff. Follow the road for about 11 km's, to a sign saying Bourkes Rd, and Dows Creek Hall. Turn left and you are at the Bush Carnival.

Distances: Mackay to Marian =25kms, Marian to Mirani = 10 kms, Mirani to Dows Creek = 11 kms, Mirani to Gargett = 25 kms, Gargett to Pinnacle = 4 kms, Pinnacle to Finch Hatton = 16 kms, Pinnacle to The Gorge = 8 kms , Finch Hatton to Eungella = 18 kms,. Eungella to Broken River = 5 kms.
